Fascinating article, William! I had no idea about the history of DST in the US. Here in my part of Australia, we have DS in the six months of October to April, which is our spring-summer and part of autumn, and I for one am always glad when it ends - our summers are punishing enough without extending the day. On the other hand, the mornings are a delight, cool and fresh, the best time to be outdoors - so that's a plus. Thanks for the prompt to consider these matters in the Stoic context.
